John Joseph Mahoney's Obituary
We regretfully announce the passing of John Joseph Mahoney of Spotsylvania County.
John was born in Boston, MA to the late Mary (Tarpey) and John G. Mahoney.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Hayward and her husband, William of Melrose, MA; brothers, Daniel and his wife, Kellie of Andover, MA, Thomas and his wife, Gina of Winchester, MA, Richard and his wife, Maryann of Medford, MA, and Robert of Melrose, MA; brother-in-law, Val Cyr of Medway, MA; sister-in-law, Gail Mahoney of Medford, MA; and he was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline "Polly" (Blunda) Mahoney; sister, Eileen Cyr of Medway, MA; and brothers, Stephen of Medford, MA, and Michael of South Boston, MA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9600 Caritas Street, Fredericksburg. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
