Uncle John was one of the most caring men I have ever known. Despite living hundreds of miles away, he never lost touch with myself or my mother, Rose. We exchanged letters with him and he always wrote back. Of course Uncle John also paid for all my college books, for which I will always be grateful. Just like my Grandpa Frank and my Uncle Stanley, Uncle John always had the best advice to give. Thank you, Uncle John, and to Aunt Marion and the rest of the family, my condolences.

John was my great uncle and I remember visiting him in Virginia Beach when we would visit North Carolina. John and Helen were very welcoming and kind. Even though I did not know him that well, Uncle John, along with my Grandpa Stanley Kishman, helped pay for my graduate school education. It was an extremely generous gesture from one family member to another, and one that will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Uncle John was my godfather and always remembered and embraced me and my children. When we lived in North Carolina we drove to Norfolk regularly to visit with him and Aunt Helen and were spoiled each time with great food and conversation. When we moved to MA, we saw Uncle John when he came to Lynn for GE and were able to return his hospitality. On his first visit to our home, Uncle John saw that I was hanging laundry outside. A few days a later, a new dryer was delivered to my door! A snapshot of his generous heart. He will be missed. Stephanie Kishman Johnson

Dear Kishman Family: I wanted to send my deepest and sincere condolences during this unfortunate time in your lives, but I also wanted to share with your family a comforting promise that God gives in his Word the Bible about the possibility of us seeing our dead loved ones again, it's found at John 5:28,29 which in part reads:"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,".
