I knew John and Kitty when I was in a Sunday School class with them at Culpeper Baptist Church. We had many of our class meetings at their home, and it was impossible to separate their duties of hospitality because each of them was so kind and generous with themselves and their talents. I also knew Kitty through the Women's Club, and I admired the intellect and capabilities and the general good nature of both of them. I'm so glad that I got to know them and to appreciate their contributions to their community and beyond. You have my sincere sympathy in the loss of John. He has left you with big footsteps to follow. May God bless all of you.
