Hello there. John was my uncle and my friend. He always had a smile and was easy to talk to. He gave me the best advice, funny stories, East Boston memories and kind words. I'll miss emailing him. Patti
My sincere condolences to the Flaherty family. I enjoyed working with John at the Washington Post. John was a good person, very knowledgeable in his craft, a good union man, a great sense of humor, always friendly and his smile was infectious!
