John Andrew Christian's Obituary
John Andrew Christian, 56, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 11, 2026. Born in Kailua, Hawaii, on October 31, 1969, he primarily grew up in Alexandria and Fairfax Station, Virginia.
After graduating from Lake Braddock High School in 1988, he began his career specializing in automotive parts sales. Passionate about cars since his childhood, John was known for his enthusiasm for Ford, especially Mustangs. A history buff, he was most interested in and knowledgeable about the Pacific Theater of World War II. He never missed an opportunity to tour a World War II battleship and had hoped to visit them all.
John was gentle, kind, and loyal. He loved animals (especially dogs), and they immediately loved him. His trips to Hawaii and days spent on the beaches of Delaware held a special place in his heart. His playful, dry, quick sense of humor and chuckle when he laughed will live in the hearts of those who knew him best.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Christian; his sister, Jennifer Mallare (David Morgan); his nieces, Sarah Andrews (Patrick) and Meghan Mallare; and great-nephew and great-niece, Sam and Emma.
John was preceded in death by his father, Cdr. Richard Allen Christian, USN, Ret.; his brother-in-law, Michael Mallare; and his cherished Yorkie, Henry.
A caring soul with a heart of gold, John was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memorial services will be private.
