Joe Downin Smith's Obituary
Joe Downin Smith, III, 59, of Amissville, VA died Saturday, August 15, 2015. He was born November 7, 1955 in Rockville, MD to the late Mehrle Smith Jr. and Doris Easterday Smith.
Joe had a passion for his family, friends, and the outdoors. He was giving and compassionate to everyone he met and always enjoyed putting a smile on everyone's face.
Joe is survived by his sister, Julie Wotruba and her husband, Troy of Temple, TX, brother Jim Smith (preceded in death) and his wife, April Smith of Front Royal, VA, nephew Jacob Smith and his wife, May Smith of Bristow, VA, nephew Jason Smith and his wife, Jamie Smith of Roanoke, VA, nieces Jennifer Creel and her husband, Max Creel and Danielle Wotruba of Temple, TX.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Reformation Lutheran Church, 509 South Main Street, Culpeper, VA.
