Jerry Lynn Raines' Obituary
Jerry Lynn Raines, 71, of Culpeper, passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, March 29, 2025. He was born July 6, 1953, to Peggy Raines and the late Jack Raines.
Jerry was always considerate of the needs of his entire family. His mother held a special place in his heart, as did his brothers and sister. His adoring love shone through to his family, especially his wife Wendy and he had a genuine and unconditional love for both of his children.
Jerry dedicated his entire career to banking and helped thousands of people shape their lives. He found great joy in football, running, golf, music and his kitties. Jerry always had a smile for everyone and a laugh that was recognized by all. He loved his family dearly, he loved his work and the people he helped, and he loved the adventures that he and his wife, Wendy, shared.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Wendy Raines; two children, Sarah Saluja (Raj) and Jeremiah Raines; two grandchildren, Dylan Saluja and Colin Saluja; and two siblings, Ramona Pence (Wayne) and Joey Raines (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father, Jerry is preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Raines, and a granddaughter, Taylor Saluja.
