Alice, Susan, the friendship that our parents shared is a tribute to the love that they shared with their families. Both you mom and dad were very special, and were always gracious and kind. Your mom's funeral was beautiful, it was a beautiful tribute to an amazing lady. And it was an inspiration to all who attended. Not everyone realizes thay made a difference in this world, and we as children do not always realize the difference our parents made in other people's lives. Both your pastor Jim George and Mr. Goforth shared how your mom influenced the church and her community. What a wonderful life she lived, and to know that her faith and dedication to her church changed the lives of her fellow congregation members.
I thank God that he blessed our dads to become friends because throught their friendship, God blessed me and my family with you and your family. All of you have made a difference in our lives. Your mom ws a very special lady.
My Dad knew Emmett from work. The Longs became great family friends. They would have us over to swim in their pool and have picnic lunches in the yard. We have very fond memories spent at their home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Thinking of you and remembering your Mom.
