Janet M. Furlong's Obituary
Janet Marie Furlong was born on July 25, 1945 in Annapolis, MD to the late Carl and Cecilia Alton and was a resident of Culpeper, VA for over 40 years. Janet was one of nine children and leaves behind six siblings, Jimmy, Joe, Myrtle, Teresa, Denise, Richard and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Ron Furlong; seven children, Sam Gritz and his wife, Jane, Karen Haught and her husband, Dudley, Leslie Gillespie and her husband, Trent, Jessica Furlong and L.T. Fox, Jamie Nichols and her husband, John, Robert Furlong and his wife, Megan, and James Furlong and his wife, Amanda, 14 grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Gage, Dominga, Jaxon, Jordan, Jovi, Brooke, Trey, Brady, Blake, Fiona, Westley, and Madison; and one great grandchild, Isabella.
Janet was a generous and loving woman who was totally devoted and involved with her family. She was their rock. Being a mother and wife was her main priority. Later in life photography became her passion and was evident in the thousands of pictures she shared with the world. She will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives she touched and came in contact with.
The family will hold services on January 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15103 Rixeyville Rd., Culpeper, VA.
