I meet Mope when I started driving truck ! We worked together for many many years and shared lot of good time and sad times together ! Mope was one the easy going person I knew back in the day he did his best to help me deal with coming back from Vietnam at that time my head was a little crazy about what was going on and getting my own life thing together or to deal with people ! We had shared time with each other family visiting and cook outs !! My prayers go with him as he heads to a new direction and he has the peace we all look for ! My prayers go for the wife and children I learned to know over the years and both their family I got to know ! RIP MY BROTHER !!

My hero, my superman, my confidant.
Mope certainly was one of a kind. He and his family were our neighbors for a number of years living in "The Timbers". I will never forget his kindness when my husband was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. I was not a very good driver and he took it upon himself to give me a ride to the hospital which was quite a distance away and through some rough areas of D.C. He also took it upon himself to counsel my sons about their behavior while I was going through a very difficult time. One of the things that really stands out in my memories is when his prized pow flag disappeared. Needless to say he was very upset and the word was out about how angry he was. Well I think it was the next day the flag appeared out of nowhere in his back yard. He was very proud of his country and this flag meant a lot to him. My sincere sympathy goes out to all of the Weedon family. May you somehow find peace during this very difficult time. Thinking of all of you. Sharon O'Leary and family.
