Jim will be missed very much by all of his family. But, he will continue on. I see him in Jeremy and John. Jeremy is so tender hearted, and so devoted to Scouting. John is inquisitive and has some pretty strong opinions. I wonder where he got that? I will always remember when I called to tell them their Grandson had been born, and was very ill, Jim was so upset he couldn't talk and handed the phone to Kate. One of the best pictures I ever saw was of Jim and the boys, a view of their backs, all 3 of them holding hands. So touching. God Bless and Keep you, Jim. I love you Kate!!

Jim was a very dear friend to me. We became close when I worked at Powell Wellness Center. I looked forward to our daily talks and he always made me laugh (sometimes with him, sometimes AT him)! Jim was deeply committed to his Catholic faith and I enjoyed our rich theological conversations. He was also a deeply committed family man. He loved to share stories of his children and Kate, and the "good old days".He and I had many conversations about cancer and the end of life stage that he was entering into. Jim had ALOT to say, as anyone who knew him can attest to, but I found his words of wisdom very comforting. Okay, he could also be opinionated, stubborn, grouchy, and rude every once in a blue moon :), but that was half of his charm !!!!!!
Well done, good and faithful servant, well done !

I have said a Divine Mercy Chaplet for Jim and I have also asked Fr. Leo, Andrew Windland, and Reagan Flemming to make sure that Jim doesn't get himself in any trouble as he heads to his final destination. I think they can handle the job :)
