Jim was line a second father to me as Dawn used to babysit me and Erica and i have been best friends since we were like 5. We didn't agree on much but he was still a very good person and a family man. RIP
Jim and I met in June 1972 and I proudly served with him the on the U.S.S. Lawrence. 3 weeks later we left Norfolk for an undisclosed location. When we got to the Panama Canal we knew that we were headed to Vietnam. He took me under his wing when i was assigned to his loading team. He is my best friend, brother and shipmate.and I miss him deeply.Thank you for bringing joy into my life.
