Homer Dewey Musselman's Obituary
Homer Dewey Musselman, 83, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Homer served with the U.S. Marines. He had degrees in Electrical and Nuclear Engineering. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1989 after 36 years of Federal service. He resided in Stafford County and devoted much of his time to Stafford history. Homer’s third book in the H.E. Howard series related to the history of Stafford County.
Homer is survived by his wife of 19 years, Janet Musselman; a son, Gary Musselman and his wife, Susan of New Kent County; a daughter, Lisa Clinch and her husband, Tom of Ohio; a step-daughter, Cyndi Godsey and her husband, Mike of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Clay, Beth, Jon and Lottie; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Stone officiating. Inurnment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Homer’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his memory to Mending Hearts Charities, Inc., P.O. Box 560609, Orlando, FL 32856.
