Dear "Granny,"
Thank you for accepting me warmly into your family. Thank you for bringing Bob("Robert L") into this world and for sharing stories about him that helped me understand and appreciate him better through the years. Thank you for being a loving grandmother to our son. I remember your first visit to meet Max and how happy we were to see you and watch as you and Pop Pop held him for the first time; we wished you would have stayed longer, but Bob explained that you believed that company and fish began to smell after a few days.... The words I use to describe you are kind, funny and generous. One of the funniest stories Bob told me about you was that when he was little and the Good Humor Man came around ringing his bell, you would tell that him that the bell ringing meant that he was all out of ice cream! I enjoyed playing games after dinner around the dining room table and sitting in the kitchen talking about everything under the sun, including the latest gossip from People Magazine and our favorite television shows. I will miss you and smile when I think of you. We will keep you memory close and look for you in the sky...
