She worked assisting veterans and received the Kentucky Colonel award for her service to the community. Above all, she was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and big heart for all who came into her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Sonya L. Smith and Sheila Farrar and her husband, James. Additional survivors include her granddaughters Amber Troska and her husband, Brad, Alicia Smith and Kay Farrish, and grandsons Steve Hall, Patrick McDonnell, Billy Lamb and Glenn Lamb. The family would like to thank the aides, nurses and staff at Dogwood Village for their loving care of our mother. We deeply appreciate everything you did for her. She cared so much for her friends at Dogwood, and she loved making jewelry and playing bingo and rummy there.
