Griffin Connor Burke's Obituary
Griffin Connor Burke, 23 of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away Saturday December 6, 2014.
Griffin was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and moved to Virginia at the age of 9. Griffin was a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, class of 2010. Griffin was a Business Administration Major at the University of Mary Washington and a member of the University Men’s Lacrosse Team.
Griffin had many accomplishments in his young life, but none greater than his ability to forge the greatest of friendships.
Griffin leaves behind his mother and father, Martha & Rob Burke of Spotsylvania County, VA and his beloved brother, Darby Burke also of Spotsylvania County.
A funeral Mass will be held at noon on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 10725 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Griffin’s family will receive friends immediately following the funeral Mass at the Jepson Executive Alumni Center, 1119 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
In lieu of flowers his family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of gifts in memory of Griffin to Woodberry Forest School, 402 Woodberry Station, Woodberry Forest, VA 22989 or to the University Men’s Lacrosse Team c/o The UMW Foundation, 1119 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
