Gloria Margarette Driscoll's Obituary
Gloria Margarette Driscoll died unexpectedly on July 6th, 2023 in Culpeper, VA. She was 91 years old. She was born in Rainelle, WV, on December 11, 1931 to the late John and Lola Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Frances Driscoll; and her daughter, Dianne Marie Clark.
She is survived by her children, Edith Anderson (Ken), Dickie Driscoll (Jeanette), Cathy Robare, Patricia Driscoll (Larry Owen); sons-in-law, Bruce Clark, and Harry Carpenter, Jr.; Grandchildren, Amanda Campbell (Richard), Melanie Anderson Hart, Kendall Dellinger (Dale), John Anderson (Morgan), Taylor Clark (Rachel), Chandler Clark, Julie Driscoll (Ed), Nikki O’Halloron (Tom), Richard Driscoll, Keely Robare (Amanda), Megan Phillips (Daren) Patricia Robare, Isaac Robare, Jacob Robare, Eddie Carpenter, Richard Carpenter (Claire); 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she managed to make all feel very special and loved.
Gloria practiced nursing in Culpeper for many years retiring from the State Health Department in the late 90s. Her picture can be found hanging as you wander the halls at The Culpeper Hospital.
Gloria was a cherished member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and the Culpeper community. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and The Culpeper Country Club Ladies Golf Association. She was known as “Nana'' to many people in the community. When she welcomed you into her heart, she loved you unconditionally.
Gloria has moved on to heaven, but a little bit of her life is in all of us.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 12:00 pm at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E Edmondson St., Culpeper, VA 22701.
Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Culpeper National Cemetery, 305 US Ave, Culpeper, VA.
