Gloria has always been a force to be reckoned with. She and I worked together for close to a decade in the 90's at the Rappahannock-Rapidan Virginia Department of Health. I always admired her tenacity, forthrightness, and strong sense of justice, and we were a good team.
More recently we spent time together at Precious Blood widows group get-togethers, now called the Prime Timers. Every encounter included her expressing her deep gratitude for her family, and her joie de vivre was so evident! She was truly blessed to be so loved, and she knew it.
I ran into her at the supermarket a few weeks ago. I am so glad we took the time to chat and hold hands for a few minutes, because that was the last time I saw her. It is with much love and promised prayers that I write this to you, her family. May God bless you and keep you, now and forever.
