Dear Ann, Matt, Joe ,Karen and Mary,
I was so sorry to hear of you dad's passing. I enjoyed hanging out at your house alot while I was growing up . Your parents treated me like their own. What's one more when there are 5 kids? I was driving past Oxford on Saturday and Sunday on my way to and from Des Moines and I kept thinking of your dad. This is before I knew anything. Please know that many people are thinking of you guys in our prayers. Take care, Becky (Ball) Ernst##imported-begin##Becky (Ball) Ernst##imported-end##

Thelma, Kohler and Wagner Families,
As I usually do on Thursday's during my lunch, I look through the on-line Iowa City Press Citizen to see what is going on around home. I was saddened to see that Don had passed away and although words fail to adequately comfort at times like this, please accept our sincere condolences.
Having moved away several years ago, my path didn't intersect with Don's except on one or two brief occassions. From those brief encounters and the information about Don's life, it was apparent he was a successful and accomplished man.
Death is just another step in our eternal journey and the funeral should be a celebration of life; both in this world and the next. May the memories of Don help comfort you in this difficult time.##imported-begin##Randy & Deb Stockman##imported-end##
I was saddened to learn of Don's passing and send condolences to his family.
I do want you to know how much I respected Don and tried to emulate him. He was a wonderful role model for many young people.
Don hired me at GPC right after graduation from the University of Iowa in 1967 and he proved to be the best mentor that anyone could have ask for. He inspired me to endure nine years of night school to get my MBA from Iowa in 1976. He directed my early career like a concert master - and in ways that I did not understand at that time. When I decided to leave GPC Kent for greener pastures, Don was very supportive. On my last day, he even brought me in a large bottle of Galliano!
I have remembered Don's teaching and coaching throughout my career. I only hope that a few people will remember me as fondly as I do Don. He was a very good man.

Dear Kolar Family: My parents, Glen & Martha Coppinger thought of your parents as dear friends. Every year your parents sent a photo Christmas card of your family to mine. We always enjoyed seeing how you all had grown and changed. Our parents got to know one another because our Dad's worked at Kent Feeds. My mom is still living, but she is in Southern Indiana now, living near my oldest brother Walt, who still works for Kent Feeds as the Plant Manager in the Louisville, KY plant. Our whole family sends our condolences to all of you. We will hold all of you in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
May peace be with you at this time of loss.
