Gil Lynn Stephenson's Obituary
Gil Lynn Stephenson, 73, of Elkwood passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Prince William Hospital.
Gil adored his family, animals, and especially horses. He loved his job as a Farrier for 40 years. He was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and he enjoyed watching bull riding.
Gil is survived by his wife of 40 years, Paula; his daughter, Amanda Rednour (Lee) of Locust Grove; siblings, Ray Stephenson (Dorothy), Joan Shampine (Irvin), Carol Stephenson, and Dean Stephenson (Ruth), all of New York; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Gil’s family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursdsay, December 29, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Gil’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of charitable donations to the SPCA of Fredericksburg, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
