Gerald Jake Descutner's Obituary
Gerald Jake Descutner, 84, of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Jake lived most of his life in Utica, New York where he worked in industrial sales for many years and eventually with the help of his wife Lorraine, started their own business, and continued it for several years until their retirement.
His jovial personality left a smile on everyone’s face he encountered. He was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved to go hunting with his son, and enjoyed fishing and playing golf and the many outings with his granddaughters at summer camp in Hinkley, New York.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Lorraine Descutner; son, Paul (Maggie) Descutner; daughter, Carol Descutner and her husband, John Ostroot; three granddaughters, Kate, Joanna, and Devon; as well as a great-grandchild, Lyanna.
Services for Mr. Descutner will be private.
