George Marshall Wood Sr.'s Obituary
George Marshall Wood, Sr., 78, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home.
George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth; four daughters, Brenda A. Canaday and her husband, Mike, Mary E. LaChacz, Linda M. Goss and her husband, Bobby, and Shirley D. Knighting, all of Fredericksburg; five sons, Robert M. Wood, George M. Wood, Jr. and his wife, Kim, and John W. Wood and his wife, Imogene, all of Fredericksburg, David M. Wood and his wife, Holly of Florida, and Gary L. Wood, Sr. of Fredericksburg; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
George’s family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Carter Family Cemetery, Ada Rd, Marshall, VA.
