George "Jeep" Ryan's Obituary
George "Jeep" Ryan, 58, of Manassas, passed away on March 17, 2010.
Jeep proudly served in the United State Marine Corps during Vietnam, and later joined the Army National Guard, retiring in 2001. He worked at J.W. Burress for almost 20 years, and was self-employed as a MAC Tool Distributor for the past four and a half years.
He enjoyed working outside, helping other people, and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jeep is survived by his loving wife Lynn; daughter, Megan Sullivan and her husband Jason of Manassas, VA; son, Kevin Ryan of Manassas, VA; two sisters, Laura Martin and her husband Junior of Maryland and Delois Adkins of Georgia; two brothers, Earl Adkins of Richmond, VA and Chris Adkins and his wife Debbie of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dale Ann Sigmon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 10-11 AM at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109; followed immediately by a memorial service.
