Gennieve G. Finney
Gennieve Gayle Finney, 74, of Snell died Friday, August 10, 2007, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Gennieve was the store owner of E. B. Finney and Daughter in Snell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Covington-Schley; her brothers, Frank and Ernest Lee Gayle; and a niece, Carol Jean Covington.
She is survived by her sister, Catherine Spindle, and her husband, Elmer; sister-in-law, Avis Gayle; nieces, Barbara Gayle, Patricia Fisher, Irene C. Burruss, Donna Reilly and Debbie Jenkins; nephews, Franklin Gayle Jr. and Darren Spindle; numerous great-nieces and -nephews; and numerous great-great-nieces and -nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Services, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. at Traveler's Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Coleman officiating. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in memory of Gennieve Gayle Finney to the American Cancer Society, Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania Unit, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508.
