I moved to Thornburg in 1992 and shortly after that became a single father of two. I worked construction and was very poor. Ms Finney would always give me home remedy advice for ear aches of the children, puncture wound from work one time. She saved me several doctors visits. I really liked her. She had a good heart.
We lived right down the road from Finneys store/post office. My siblings and I used to ride our bikes there. All the time and even picked up our mail. Such friendly people.
