I use to talk to him when I was young when I would visit my fathers grave who is also named Gene Hitt.
Gene was a great man and I have so many wonderful memories of him from my childhood. He worked with my dad Kenny at Fairview Cemetery for many years and was always a joy to be around. One of my fondest memories is Gene waiving me to pull over as i was riding my go cart and he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a little debbie cake and gives it to me. He never said alot but he always had the best treats. : ) I'm sorry for you loss but I'm glad my dad has another friend in heaven.
