It is with great sadness that we announce Garry Nelson Fitton, 72, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2023. Garry was born to Wilbur and Gladys Fitton on January 11, 1951 in Alexandria, VA. Garry attended g Read Obituary
Gary was always so kind to my good friend Gladys, his mom. He and Connie used to come up from Fredericksburg to help her with yard work. I was really impressed. I hired him to work for me and he was an absolute miracle worker. He expressed to me that he was lost without Gladys. Now he is with her again. Rest in peace.

Our Most heartfelt sympathies to Connie, Robert and Cindy, Anthony and Carla, all the grandchildren, extended family and friends. Garry was a great man, mentor, husband, father, grandfather & friend. His sincere kindness, sense of humor, and compassion will always be remembered by many. No matter what he always had a smile on his face!
Garry is with good company above us in a better place, with God, and his family before him.

This is Shawn Fitton i am so thankful i was able to watch all of the funeral today it looked amazing. Im so sorry i was not there but i did get to talk to my Aunt Connie yesterday and she told me was being being live streamed. Me and my family in Texas all was watching ,,,,
Connie had babysat me from the age of 8 and her and Garry always treated me like family from day 1! Garry was so kind and patient (after a king day at work)with all the kids no matter how crazy we got( there was a lot of us and we did get crazy lol). I remember he always kept his good ice cream in the freezer in the garage and would share some with us and watch Who’s Line is it Anyway. I will always cherish my years there and my thoughts are with his family 💞

Connie babysaty children, Ivey and Evan their entire childhood. Connie and Gary were more like their grandparents and spent lots of time over there. Gary was always joking and playing with the kids. I never saw him get upset or impatient with all the kids. He loved them all like his own. I will always be grateful to Connie and Gary being there for us and my children. My thoughts are with you Connie in your grief. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Every time we came to VA to see Kara, Anthony and the girls he had a big ole smile and was very kind to us. The girls absolutely Loved him, he will be missed by everyone who knew him. RIP Gary
