Frederick Harvey Bream's Obituary
Frederick Harvey Bream, 80, of Amissville, died Saturday, November 9, 2024, at his home. He was born September 15, 1944, in Gettysburg, PA to the late Roy Aaron Bream, Sr. and Mabel Edith Bream.
Fred loved his country and spent 44 years as a public servant. He enlisted in the U.S. Army (1962-1965), and was stationed at Fort Jackson, SC and Fort Benning, GA. Upon returning home, he worked constructing the Codorus State Park (then known as Project 70). After that, he worked at Borg Warner, York, PA. Fred became a Trooper with the Virginia State Police in 1973 and served 41 years, retiring as a Master Trooper. He was an avid bird hunter and enjoyed training his dogs. Frederick loved Toyota pickup trucks, playing poker, and a good cigar.
He is survived by his companion of more than 22 years, his wife, Theresa; his son, Christopher Bream (Karrie); step-son, Michael Caporuscio; two grandchildren, Riley and Parker; one step-granddaughter, Luna; two siblings, Buddy Bream (Shirley) and Marlene Hansen (Fred); nieces and nephews, Freddie, CJ and Seth Hansen, Chip, Scott and Karen Bream, Lisa Brown, and Greg and Troy Eline; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by two siblings, Jack Bream and Rosemary Eline.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Dennis R. Di Mauro officiating. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Honors will be provided by VFW Post 2524 and Virginia State Police.
