Frances Jeanette Michalak's Obituary
Frances Jeanette Michalak, 84, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Frances loved her family which meant everything to her, as she was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed bird watching, embroidery, and especially spending the holidays with her family. She always had a present ready for her grandchildren when they came to visit.
Frances is survived by two sons, Henry Joseph Michalak (Patty) of Ashland and Bill P. Michalak of Spotsylvania; adopted daughter, Cheryll Anne Quirin (Michael) of Lovettsville; daughter-in-law, Michele Michalak; sister, Rose Marie Lee (J.B.) of Texas; brother, Edward “Eddie” Murphy (Estrella) of Maryland; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Danny, Chad (Betsy), and Samantha; great-grandson, Graham; two beloved nieces, Joann and Doreen; two nephews, Randy and Timothy; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Henry William “Hank” Michalak; two sisters; two brothers; and a nephew, Jerry.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Frances’ family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund, 10725 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
