My memories of Mrs. Calvert is one of respect, nurturing and love. Growing up, I can remember her being very strong and active at Church. On any given Sunday, she would have us kids over to run loose and just be kids. She would always tell my grandmother; "Now Millie, don't worry about anything, they will be fine. But, if anything does happen, we'll call (and then she would smile)." I think this made my grandmother more nervous, as she knew how accident prone I was (my cousin not so much). Between the fences, a pond and rolling hillsides; my grandmother knew a call was coming. Luckily, nothing ever happened. One of my fondest memories, was when I came to visit and while in one of the back rooms (just off the living room/dinning room area); we talked for quite a while. Upon completion of our conversation, we both were crying. We hugged...I gave her kiss and told her how much I loved her. She smiled back and said "I love you too". To Mr. Calvert, Robert, David, Randall, Clay and entire Calvert family...my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I thank you so much for allowing me to know this wonderful and gracious lady.
All my love,
Vanessa (Snyder) Converse
