Emma McFarland Stanley's Obituary
Emma McFarland Stanley, 80, of Manassas Park, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 12, 1936 in Culpeper to the late Clarence and Minnie Fox McFarland.
Mrs. Stanley was a loving wife, mother, granny and mother to all. She loved God, gardening, flowers, family, and writing poetry.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Stanley, Sr.; seven children, Marshall Stanley and his wife, Terry of Winchester, David Stanley and his wife, Elaine of TN, Joe Stanley and his wife, Debbie of Norton, VA, Calvin Stanley and his wife, Darlene of Spotsylvania, Richard Stanley and his wife, Joyce of Winchester, Cathy Stanley of Manassas Park, and Waverly and Dave Cerio of Manassas Park.
Additional survivors include three siblings, Dallas McFarland of Chantilly, James McFarland of Culpeper, and Margaret Ann Gore and her husband, Ray of Culpeper; as well as many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Clarence Stanley and Dorthy Jean “Jeannie” Ingraham; and four siblings, Earnest McFarland, Richard McFarland, Clara Settle and John Henry McFarland.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Shelton, Rev. James Register and Rev. Jim Wickens officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Stanley, David Stanley, Calvin Stanley, Richard Stanley, Dave Cerio and Matthew Cerio.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
