To all our beloved Stanley Family, a lot of us were able to say our good byes to Ms Emma Sat. 24, 2017 & she passed on the very next day. So glad we all had the opportunity to talk with her & share our love for her. She, to me was the sweetest, gentle, kind, & excepting lady I have ever met. (I wrote all this down this morning before the funeral & Bro Jim W said the same thing). When I first came into their house to see Ms Emma Sat. I was so sad and had a heavy heart & was trying not to cry (was not successful). I tried to talk to Ms Emma but tears were coming so I walked out. But later on I came back in to see her & tell her I loved her & hugged her. Before I knew it we were all around her & pictures were being taken and the atmosphere was more like a celebration of her. There were smiles, a little laughter etc. So when we left I felt at peace.
We all celebrate Ms Emma's life. She will always be remembered in all our hearts. And we will desperately miss her at times (her seat at church, her seat at the table on 3rd Saturdays, and the gatherings in the kitchen with her. She will always be treasured because she was a treasure (a gift from our Lord). God gave her to us for a little while & her life was a testimony to us all & to anyone who knew her. The Lord will heal our broken hearts and we will continue our journey with the Lord as Ms Emma would want us to!
The last thing I heard her say that Sat was "the world went on while I was here and will continue on when I'm gone." I believe that was also for us. To move on in Christ & Keep following him. Keep him ever before us and do not waiver. But stand firm and keep walking in His truths, His love, & His Life. To share Christ every chance we get. May the Joy of the Lord comfort & strength you our beloved Stanley Family! The Body of Christ Loves You, God Bless Your Sister in Christ, Phyllis.
