I have such fond and warm memories of Elsie. What a wonderful influence she had on the youth at Fairview Baptist Church. Some of my best childhood memories are of Bible School and Elsie's commitment to making it a meaningul experience for us all. I am so grateful for her example of friendship. She and my grandmother, Arvilla Jones, shared many years of friendship prior to my grandmother's death in 1986. The summer picnics with their Sunday School class always were special. My heart goes out to her family, especially her sister, Virginia, who also has a special place in my heart. Rest in peace, Elsie. My grandmother is sure to be smiling as she greets you in Heaven.
My fondest memories of Elsie are of her teaching a very young 'to-be' Christian. Her very demeanor was that of a Christian Lady. She has gone Home to be with husband and sister, Norma. God has already said "Welcome Home My Good and Faithful Servant". We can only celebrate the life of this lovely lady.

Cooking, always cooking at church. Wednesday night dinners were the best.
Aunt Elsie gave me the best present ever, her vintage hostess skirt. I love it and still wear it. I remember her many wooden closets because the house I live in now has the exact same closets, which I hadn't seen anywhere else!
My earliest memory of Elsie was riding in her car to Bible School. She was always smiling, always caring, and always giving. A wonderful leader -she saw the best in everyone and helped them to achieve it. She will always have a special place in my heart.
