Annie Grace,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. She was such a kind, gracious, compassionate lady. My first memory of her was when we were in fifth grade at A. G. Richardson Elementary School and she was a substitute teacher. She was so sweet and kind to me on the playground and I was drawn to her gentle, caring, ways. She made me feel so special. Over the years, I would see her in town and we would always take time to talk and catch up on our families. Then I had the privilege of being her server in the dining room when she and your father were living at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community home. I enjoyed being able to take care of her and chatting with her. After she moved, I continued to keep her in my prayers and thought of her often. I am sorry that I was not able to attend the service but I had you and your family and brothers in my thoughts and prayers. Cherish your memories of her and rest in the comfort of knowing that we will see her again one day! God Bless.
Lovingly,
Bonnie Campbell Cash
Annie Grace and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mrs. Snead was an excellent teacher and most of all, a wonderful, gracious and caring lady. I had the pleasure for her to be one of my substitute teachers in various classes throughout my school years as you and I had classes together. She knew my mother and knew that she taught me how to sew at a very young age. It was always such a great pleasure seeing and talking with your mother over the many years reminiscing of the years gone by! Keep the many sweet and everlasting memories of the Mother and Grandmother that she was to each of you very close to your hearts as she will always be with each of you. God Bless.
Lovingly, Angela Jeffers Chapman, Culpeper, VA
Annie Grace, Billy, David and family... I'm sorry for the loss of your Mom. But, I'm glad she's at peace in Heaven. I remember her from the Son House days. She was always kind and cheerful. And many people loved the chocolate chip cookies she would bake and share! She touched the lives of many in a special way! ~Becky (Hutcheson) Haines
