When my husband, Henry, and I first moved to Chancellor's Village in 2007, we became good friends with Ed. We dined together often, sharing our memories of Syracuse University. I wish I had known he was at Carriage Hill. I had been thinking of him recently because the beautiful carving of a turkey that he made for Mattie Thornton is outside her apartment door at this moment as it is every Thanksgiving. I have a copy of his amazing picture of a fresh cabbage . ..but lastingly, I have warm memories of a comrade.
