I was very sad to hear about Mr. King, I took his Germanna art classes a few years ago and was searching his name to find out what he was up to as his art and his classes left a great impression on me. I really enjoyed his classes. I took his drawing class with my sister and we liked it so much that we then took his painting class, and that was what got me into painting, my medium of choice these days. Thanks to him, I've explored acrylics, watercolors, and oils, and have had so much fun doing so. Those classes were definitely the highlight of my days back then, I think we had them twice a week and they were about 3 hours long, and we'd just draw and paint and listen to music and chat. They challenged me to try things I probably wouldn't otherwise try, but without the intimidating air that some art classes have. Everyone was really friendly and open and it was just a great time, no comparison or pressure, just making art together. I really look back fondly on that time. I know that he made a difference in many people's lives and brought joy to them.
