Please accept our sympathy and hugs from New Hampshire to all of the Blend family. Those of us who grew up in Brooklyn in the 50s and 60s knew that every Sunday was spent at family gatherings. My memories of Doris began at Aunt Lucy's dinner table at Ford St. and then later on visits to the Mill Basin home. She was always one with a smile and always one who would laugh easily. It seems like she always had on her waitress outfit due to her many hours at the restaurants. So now I wish my dear cousin Doris to say hello to Aunt Lucy and Uncle Bill for all of us. Peggy has posted a picture that she took at Bloomville that shows two characteristics of Doris - her smile and the enjoyment of being with her cousins. Best wishes to all.
