John and I send our condolences Mark. And I am so sorry I was out of town and unable to attend the service.
Diane was a wonderful friend and I was in awe of her many talents and her grace. She brought beauty to everything she did from the lovely luncheons she had for friends to the decorating at Kenmore and the courthouse at Christmas time. And the flowers she did for weddings were stunning.
I respected her community involvment and Spotsylvania was a better place because of her efforts.
We shared a love for the natural world, gardening and God's creatures. I will miss her.

To Mark and family: I am sorry to hear of your loss, please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Kathy Smith (County govt.)
I was always pleased when Diane and Mark were involved in their many efforts to help make Spotsylvania County a better place. This is a loss to all to sought to make the county government more responsible and the county more livable. I believe that even those who opposed some of her efforts liked and respected her.

Dear Mark and Family,
Diane was a lovely and loving neighbor and member of the Spotsylvania community. I shall always remember Diane as a formidable "warrior" for causes, which benefitted the community. She was firm and articulate in her defense of a wholesome environment; yet, compassionate as she worked tirelessly and constructively to create consensus for the best outcomes. Diane's active involvement planted a special promise of hope in all of our hearts. Diane's spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. Someone so special can never be forgotten. Sharing in your loss with love and friendship. Dorothy Spencer
Mark, Thank you for sharing Diane with us. Always the lady, she was our steel magnolia, delicate and giving but a force to be reckoned with! She was always there for us as a friend and we treasure her memory.
You were blessed to have her love and support for so many years. Stay strong for her now and carry on as she would want. She is smiling.
Otis and Rebecca Light .
Mark,
We will miss Diane, as will so many others. She was always so sweet, kind, and shared a smile with everyone. I will always remember her love of flowers and the way in which she graced so many events and people with her talent. We will miss you two as a couple, knowing what an incredible bond and relationship you shared, in this life. Her spirit will still bless us all.
With deepest sympathy, Nina and Joe Thompson
