I knew David as “the” rollerblader at the skating rink. I had moved to the area just as the world was embracing the “new normal” following the year of social distancing and started skating (again) since it was always something I enjoyed as a kid. What I hadn’t expected was to meet so many kind and supportive people. David was one of those people. He would always go out of his way to say hi and see how everyone was doing and always offered his support and encouragement for whatever issues people were experiencing on and off the floor. He had also managed to convince quite a few people to attempt unicycling, myself included. I can’t say I was very successful on a single wheel, but it is a testament to the positivity that he radiated and the confidence it inspired. There is no making sense of such a loss. My sincerest condolences to his closest friends and family. He is missed.
