Daniel Wayne Calabrese's Obituary
Daniel W. Calabrese, 63, of Spotsylvania Virginia passed away unexpectedly at home on January 24, 2022.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cynthia Calabrese, his 5 children, (oldest to youngest) Daniel Calabrese, Matthew Calabrese, Zacharia Davis, Hanna Calabrese, Jacob Calabrese, his mother-in-law Patricia Wiktorek and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Dan especially enjoyed spending time and being with his family. His children thought of him as a natural leader and his grandchildren adored him; he took great pride in his family. He had a way with words and was the best storyteller and conversation starter. Dan believed strongly in chivalry and took any chance to make someone’s day better; Dan was a gentleman. He had a love for the simpler things in life and made sure other people saw the joy in them as well.
Dan enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1980, retiring as a Sergeants Major after 23 years serving his country. He will forever be loved and missed by his family. In Dan’s words “Roger and Out, Hooah!!!!”
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Found and Sons Funeral Home. At this time there will be no funeral service at the family’s request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. An online guestbook and tribute to all are available at www.foundandsons.com.
