Christopher Edward Colgan's Obituary
Christopher Edward Colgan, 54, Amissville died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born August 27, 1962 in Hempstead, NY to Edward J. Colgan, Jr. and Patricia Gruebnau Colgan.
Mr. Colgan was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church which he absolutely loved. He moved to Warrenton from New York in 1972 and married his wife, Kay Colgan in 1995. One of his favorite activities was spending quality time with his daughter McKayla. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and working on projects whether he finished it or not. He loved his dogs, especially Buck who was his baby,.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by one daughter, McKayla Kristina Colgan of Amissville; and three siblings, Jane Newton and her husband, Michael of Gainesville, Karen Burns and her husband, Ronald of Huntingtown, MD, and Timothy Colgan and his wife, Dawn of Orlean, VA, seven nieces and nephews and one grandniece.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, 601 Madison Rd., Culpeper.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11am at Reformation Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Hales officiating.
