Chauncy Thebaud McIntosh's Obituary
Chauncy T. McIntosh was the son of the late Leonard and Exie McIntosh from Washington, DC. A graduate of Spingarn High School in 1955. His journey with the United States Air Force started in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1963. Following his military service, he had a distinguished career in the retail clothing business, serving as the Assistant Manager of Esquire Men's Wear of Washington, DC. He then had a distinguished career at Goodwill Industries, serving as Vice President of Contracts where he retired in 1999. Chauncy was involved in civic activities as a member of the Royal Arch Masons, and the Lions Clubs International.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diana D. Ledbetter, two sons, Charles Leonard and Chauncy Thebaud II (Jennifer). He is also survived by one sister, Theresa M. Burgess. Another sister, LaVerne E. McIntosh, predeceased him. In addition, he leaves to mourn his two grandchildren, a niece, four nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Chauncy’s family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
