Charlotte W. Larson's Obituary
Charlotte W. Larson, 88, of Culpeper died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. She was born October 12, 1930 in Chilhowie, VA to the late Samuel and Kathryn Shuler Wilkinson.
Charlotte was a devoted and beloved mother and grandmother. She attended and graduated from Mary Washington College obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in education. Mrs. Larson retired from Culpeper County School System having worked at Sycamore Park, Pearl Sample and Floyd T. Binns from 1971 to 1993. She was a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church where she taught an adult Sunday school class.
She is survived by four children, Susan Philipsheck of Hendersonville, NC, Daniel Larson and his wife, Mery of Culpeper, Teresa Hough and her husband, Antoine of Warner Robins, GA, and Jeffrey Larson of Culpeper; eight grandchildren, Christopher Payne, Katherine Payne Monter, Matthew Philipsheck, Sarah Philipsheck, Elijah Philipsheck, Chantel Alcazar, Samantha Hough and Alexander Hough; and a host of great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Wilkinson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor John Hemming and Pastor Lauren Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
