Charles Michael Sampson's Obituary
Charles Michael Sampson, of Cosby, Tennessee, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Charles had been fighting a courageous battle with cancer since 2004, and ultimately succumbed to the effects of the disease.
He was born in Alexandria, VA on May 17, 1968 to the late Charles Kenneth and Karen Sue Sampson.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Veronica L. Sampson; daughters, Elizabeth McLeod and her husband, R. K., and Anna Marie Sampson; stepson, Allen Cox and his wife Heather; sister, Tina Branham and her husband, Jamie; three nephews, Mathew and Nathan Branham, and Randy Merrill, and his son, Alex; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emily, Charlie, Wyatt, Trinity, and Abigail; and brothers-in-law, George “Sonny” Merrill and his wife, Sheri, and Billy Merrill and his wife, Becky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Earl and Norma Painter, and Dayten and Crystal Sampson.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, in Fredericksburg where he will be laid to rest.
