Charles Crandall "Buddy" Parker's Obituary
Charles Crandall “Buddy” Parker, 69, of Culpeper died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Manor of Natural Bridge. He was born January 30, 1949 in Culpeper to the late William L. Parker and Alma Fletcher Parker Close.
Buddy was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam. He started playing music at 10 years old and played for 40 years. The last 25 years he played with his own band, the “Buddy Parker Band”. He also cut hair on the side for 20 years in Hampton, VA.
He is survived by his daughter, Carlisle Rose Davidhizar and her husband, Ethan of Newport News, VA; one brother, Philip Parker and his wife, Kimberly of Culpeper; two nephews, Trevor B. and Dawson E. Parker; one niece, Chloe R. Parker, all of Culpeper; and one aunt, Shirley Smoot of Stafford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Hales officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
