Charles Earl Griffith's Obituary
Charles Earl Griffith, 90, husband of the late Mary Katharine Childress Griffith, formerly of Falls Church, VA died at his home in the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. He was born March 8, 1924 in Paige County, Virginia.
Charles worked in construction and building maintenance before retiring to enjoy his passions of gardening, landscaping, working in his wood shop, and helping neighbors, friends, and family. Charles was a devoted husband to Mary Katharine for nearly 63 years and committed father, uncle, and guardian to many “children” through the years.
Charles is survived by his son, Randy Griffith; daughters Linda Wilson and Gail Moore, and remaining sibling, Janice Hettenouser, 89, of Prince Frederick, Maryland. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by daughter, Violet Inez.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
