Mary Scagliarini
Dear Linda, Gail and Randy,
Paul and I are deeply saddened to know that Charlie is gone from this life, but at the same time we rejoice because we share his belief in the Resurrection. He and Kay were two genuinely loving Christians, and theirs was a match made in heaven. Now they are reunited there, praise God! My parents are there in heaven to welcome him also; they loved him as we did.
We are privileged to have been among their many friends. Many years ago, when I was still single and working with Kay at the AAR, I bought my first house, and was delighted to discover it was near theirs. Charlie often helped out with many handyman chores that I couldn’t handle. And I will never forget the wonderful crab feasts in their backyard!
Another fond memory is the lovely anniversary party you threw for them at the local Marriott. I don’t remember if it was their 40th or 50th, but I do remember that it was a beautiful tribute to them. They raised such a loving family!
Because he was such a giving person, as our tribute to him, we are making a contribution to our church's giving organization, the St. Vincent dePaul Society, in his memory. They provide basic needs to those in need, just as Charlie did.
May the good Lord comfort you in your sorrow.
Peace,
Mary Scagliarini
