Charles Wayne Fayard's Obituary
Charles Wayne Fayard, 66, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at his home.
Chuck was born February 18, 1945 in Louisiana. He served 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. He met his wife, Kathy in Germany while serving in the Corps following her graduation from Dreux in France. Chuck was also a government contractor before retiring in 2010.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Kathryn Gene Fayard; a son, Michael Fayard and his wife, Cindy; a daughter, Angel Adams and her husband, Greg; four grandchildren, Jennifer Adams, Bryce Adams, Maci Fayard and Laney Fayard; and numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ruby Fayard.
Chuck’s family will receive friends Friday, April 22, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg with a service to follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jack A. Marcom officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers Chuck’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Disabled American Veterans, General Washington Chapter 7, P.O. Box 1207, Fredericksburg, VA 22402.
