Carla Ann Knight Jett's Obituary
Carla Ann Knight Jett, of Louisa County, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family on July 18th, 2024.
Carla was a devoted wife to her late husband, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Carla loved spending time with her family, gardening, bird watching, shopping, board games, puzzles, and watching her favorite TV "stories". She loved all animals, and that love inspired her for years as a wildlife rehabilitation volunteer. Carla was a childcare provider for many years, and later served many years as a bus driver for Spotsylvania County Schools.
She is survived by her son, Richard Jett, daughter, Monica Morris (Mike), son, Michael Jett, and son, Stephen Jett (Amanda); her grandchildren Kaitlyn, McKenzi, Hunter, Emmalyn "Emmie", and Ariana; her half-brother Carl Knight, her step-sisters, Patty Merryman and Nancy Bowie; her loving in-laws Robert Jett, Linda Cole, Lori Shelton, and Kathy Curtis, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
Carla was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ricky Jett, her mother, Eleanor, father, Carl, step-sister, Beverly McFail, her grandfather, George, and grandmother, Myrtle, who raised Carla from a young age; her father-in-law Alvin Jett and mother-in-law Shirley Jett.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Morris, Rob Shelton, Gary Cole, Dustin Sorrells, Brandon Sorrells, Thomas Curtis, and Dwayne Coates.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
