It was a pleasure to have worked with Carl at Safeway. He was a fine man and a good friend. We shared many good memories at the store and also on the golf course. His smile and sense of humor will be missed. He treated his fellow employees and his customers with kindness.

We consider ourselves blessed to have known Mr. Settle for as long as we had the chance to. We give our condolences to his family for this loss. Mr. Settle is a man that will truly be missed, and he will never be forgotten by the Sowers family, nor anyone else that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Carl was a dear friend and I will always cherish the memories he and I had hunting.
Carl was always there for any of us at the hunt club. I will always remember that he would start cooking breakfast at 4 oclock in the morning to make sure we all ate and had a full belly before the days hunt.
